Fanart: B'tX Tarot - The Fool (MetalFace)

| Da aufgrund der Eigenanteilsregel meine Tarotkarte selber hier nicht freigeschaltet werden dürfte, lade ich hier meinen "Eigenanteil" der Karte hoch und füge die Karte kurzerhand dazu ein - da sie nicht mehr als 50% des Bildes ausmacht, liegt die Sache ja nun innerhalb der Regeln. Die nicht von mir gemachten Anteile sind mit Erlaubnis verwendet worden; die Credits und Links finden sich unten im Beschreibungstext der Karte. I use to put The Fool in the beginning, as it symbolizes the beginning of the journey to the knowledge of the deeper mysteries of life. The Fool is the newborn child, free of all prejudices, fears and sins. Usually The Fool is accompanied by some beast (dog, cat or crocodile) that stands for the animalic self. The Fool holds the white rose of purity to show that he is yet beyond the base passions that led to the fall. The qualities of the Fool are curiousity, impatience, beginnings, optimism, belief in one self and wisdom of innocence. Traditionally, The Fool is connected with the Zodiac Sign Aquarius and the Planets Uranus and Neptune. Imagery of my card: My rendering of the card depicts MetalFace. Normally he is an enhanced human who more or less sold his soul to the Machine Empire. Here I depict him without his cyborg parts, but having those lying on the ground just in front of him. The Fool is about new beginnings and a state of innocence - so depicting MetalFace before he took the choice to "improve" himself might be very fitting, with those cybernetic parts lying in front of him just as the danger which is normally shown by the dog/beast. And as his choice might be considered not well thought out and foolish, it also shows the negative side of the card - foolishness and naivité. Behind him one sees a landscape with green hills and a sea - nature and natural lifestyle that MetalFace left behind due to his choice, while before him is just sand and rocks (the Machine Empire is located in the Gobi desert after all). By the way, I put the sharp outlines around the cyber parts to emphasize their artificiality. MetalFace as character for this card is interesting as he symbolises both the purity before his "fall" and also the purity he regained after his redemption when he sacrificed himself to gain the Piece of the Sun for Karen (when he was shown without his cyber body in the anime, too) and finally achieve to shine from his human self. So this imagery works both for the Fool as beginning and ending card of the Arcana - for the latter one only needs to imagine him turning back from the desert to the green hills again.
