Story:
Die schöne Ruby Valentine (16) wacht eines Morgens nach einer Partynacht in den Armen eines nackten (zugegebenermaßen heißen) jungen Mannes auf. An seinen Namen kann sie sich nicht erinnern, aber an die leidenschaftliche Nacht allemal. Entjungfert wurde sie, nur nicht von ihrem eigentlichen Freund, Jack Valentine (auch 16, zufällig mit gleichem Nachnamen).
Weil sie es ihrer Clique zu verheimlichen versucht, kehrt wenig später wieder der schlimme Alltag in ihr Leben ein – glaubt sie. Doch eine Gruppe scheinheiliger Leute sucht sie. Fragt sich nur, warum? Natürlich weil sie in ihrer absolut rattenscharfen Nacht mit diesem Jungen zum Anbeißen angeblich dessen düsteres Legat geerbt hat – und das nicht einmal freiwillig! Ruby ist deshalb alles andere als begeistert, da sie nach ihrem Umzug vor zwei Jahren eigentlich vorhatte, ein normales Leben zu führen.
