| My best friend turned a year older last week. In celebration of that (and our 9 year friendship anniversary) I wanted to illustrate him a picture with his lovely wife and his cat, I struggled a bit with the motive, as I originally had an entire different idea in mind but it didn't work out as the Piano would have been to big for the composition I had in mind. So I decided to do something I am better at. Moody slice of life scenes. I think it was the better decision in the end as I had fun drawing this image. It was a bit difficult in terms of texturing the couch but it felt great adding all those little details in the background again! |
