| There will definitely be Blood. Maybe. (I loled XD) Uhm, well I'm back to business - kind of. Didn't have much time or inspiration lately. But some friends of mine came up with the idea of a mini-art challenge: 1. Liebe /// Love 2. Licht /// Light 3. Dunkelheit /// Darkness 4. Trostsuchend /// Searching for Solace 5. Sterne /// stars 14. Besessenheit /// obsession 15. Ich kann nicht /// I can't 16. Schmerz /// pain 17. Alles was ich habe /// all I have 18. Letzte Hoffnung /// last hope 19. Einsamkeit /// loneliness 20. Puzzle /// puzzle So this is 8. Blood, featuring Rin, another character from the still in progress "Creatures of the Night" story ^^ In fact, I'm facing my personal challenge within the challenge, one could say XD because I decided that I only wanted to use Characters form our RPG for the challenge... Well Rin... She's a crazy little bitch who wants to kill Chi (yey, another one!), because of a severe childhood trauma... Obviously, she is a vampire. Her special ability is Telekinesis, and she loves to use this power to make her pink fluffy toy bunny walk around (with glowing red eyes, whis scares the hell out of people XD), and therefor spy on people, because they can't sense her vampiric presence that way. She can keep this up over quite a distance, so it's been useful to find Chidori and "hunt" for her. However, she's completely nuts, and won't kill Chi just like that, she wants to see her suffer, and right now she's making up some nasty, wierd little plans how to get there. As the character's apperance is heavily inspired by this picture: [link] One could say I've stolen the idea or something o.O But I don't care... Call it stolen, call it a reference, it's simply that I used this picture in first place to describe Rin, and when I draw her, it's quite natural that the outcome looks quite familiar... And I liked the idea with the contrast of the blue butterflies and the red hair/kimono/eyes. So I used that too. I even imagine these butterflies fluttering around her, everytime she makes an apperance in the story XD (which she didn't yet, not personally...) Uhm... however, surprisingly it didn't take me as long as usual to do the coloration - because it is quite simple and the kimono for example does not have many shades because there are no folds... but I tried my best with the eyes and the hair/skin, so the picture would sime "vivid" and more "3 dimensional". well, I think I FAILD HARD XDD however... I changed the nose later, in the sketch it looks different XD I think I just come closer and closer to my very own style, on my next pic, which I'll upload soon too (I hope) you maybe able to see more clearly what I mean. However, hope there are a few ppl out there who like it, dispite it being so messed up ^^" |
