Honour von abgemeldet ================================================================================ Kapitel 1: What Love Is All About --------------------------------- Honour Every week the same procedure. She works in a little sewing room from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays when she’d like to spend some time on her own she visits her parents. And this is not really a relaxing time for her as she meets another japanese guy every week. Her parents want her to bring honour to the family and for woman the only way to bring honour is to marry a nice guy and to be a good wife. Sayuri knows this since her earliest childhood and she really wants not to disappoint her parents but all guys she met didn’t want to marry her after the meeting. It is just like all the other traditions that Sayuri got to know very soon. She also thinks about love like it is just a thing you “feel” by your head. Although it didn’t work yet she keeps on trying everything to bring honour to her family. Sayuri, a 22-years-old Japanese, is shy, hard-working and really kind. There is just one person she can trust in: a colleague, Kathlyn. She knows about all of Sayuris troubles and knows how hard Sayuri tries to be a good woman. Sayuri doesn’t exactly know why but she really enjoys the time with Kathlyn who knows almost all of Sayuri. If someone would ask Sayuri why she trusts in Kath, she couldn’t answer.Kathlyn could and she would. It is a warm Saturday evening after work. Kathlyn is waiting for Sayuri in front of the old, small building. Sayuri gets out asking Kathlyn why she waited for her. “Well I thought we could go home to me, having a drink?” she said with her calm, friendly voice. Sayuri noddes her head and they go to Kath’s home. They talked and drank wine for a while and Sayuri was about to go home when Kathlyn bends over, holding her head just next to Sayuri’s ear and wisperes:” I love you Sayuri and I know you do as well!”. Then she just gets up, going to the door with Sayuri as if nothing special happened. Both say “Good bye” as usual, but tonight Sayuri smiles happily at Kath as a kind of “Yes, I do” and both understand. This night Sayuri planned something: tomorrow she’ll visit her parents as always, but she will tell them about Kath and her. She sleeps with a sunshiny thought “So this is the true love?!” On the next morning she goes by bus to her parents house, planning every little detail of the upcoming conversation. When Sayuri goes into her parents’ house she feels that something has changed and when she enters the living room she sees the reason: Isamu-San, the man she met last week, was standing in front of her smiling and holding flowers in his hands. He kneels down, looking in her eyes and asks: “Sayuri Fujiwara, would you like to be my wife?”. “I’d love to, thank you Isamu-San!” she answered immediately, bowing low. © by Takara-Chan Hosted by Animexx e.V.
