                                   ---------


This love was foredoomed,
Doomed to failure,
You're not out of my head yet
But it's all over.

How many times did we cry
Until the deep end of dark night,
See, not even this candle
Was able to spend enough light ...
(To find the way back home -)

We were frozen, We were running,
Yet together, still all alone,
Couldn't reach each other, 
(Your hand too far away,)
But both longing for this shelter -
(I wasn't able to find my way.)

It was so cold.

I lay in bed -
Like a little child
I was screaming,
Afraid of the dark night.

Now I know ...

This love wasn't meant to be,
Never supposed to be.
You're not out of my head yet
(But you'll become)
A fading memory.
(So I may find my way back home.)
