This costume has quite possibly sucked all the life out of me. @.@
I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you guys the truth of this costume. I made it in a span of 1 and 1/2 a month to compete for the American WCS preliminaries. There were ALOT of mental breakdowns during it's construction. There was alot of crying. ALOT. OF. CRYING. WIP pictures can be seen here for those interested: https://www.facebook.com/rosabella.scarlet/media_set?set=a.265934390124569.78746.100001240300769&type=3 Wait a bit. It sometimes takes a while for all the photos to load.
My days went like this: I woke up, went to uni/class, did my extra curriculars, and then went back to my partner's house to work on our costumes together. We spent 16 hours a day making these costumes. EVERY DAY. On top of which, I went to special Persian fencing classes so I could learn to properly hold and use my sword for our skit. (Ion has an ambiguous Arabic background. The Scimitar sword he uses and his fashion alude to this). Basically it was painful. And stuff. Yeah.
